This morning marked the inaugural Founders’ Coffee at Ethos Citadel in Marion, Illinois. The event brought together a vibrant community of entrepreneurs and business owners from Marion and the broader Southern Illinois region.

Among the speakers was Alison Hassler, founder of Southern Illinois Vacation Rentals, who shared her entrepreneurial journey and offered valuable insights. For me, it was an enriching experience—not just because of the knowledge shared, but also the chance to reconnect with familiar faces. I’ve known Alison for a decade, and I even coached her kids in boxing years ago.

It was wonderful to see the community come together in such a beautifully renovated space in downtown Marion and to leave feeling inspired and energized for future projects.
