I had been reading dVerse’s posts recently and had been wanting to try one of their writing prompts. And today, I finally did with the Contours of Lost Love.

Here is a Quadrille, using the word “Contour.” A Quadrille is a poem of exactly 44 words, not including the title.

Contours of Lost Love

In love's contours, now faded and worn,
An old flame, in darkness, reborn.
Echoes of laughter, promises sworn,
In the heart's hollow, silently mourn.
In the mind's abyss, memories torn,
In the echo of words, we're forlorn.

    1. Thanks Brn, much appreciated 👏

      1. You’re most welcome, Willy!

BTW, please feel free to call me ‘David’. That’s my first name. The word ‘ben’ simply means ‘son of’ in Hebrew, and my father’s name was ‘Alexander’ ~ I created my blog in his memory, you see…

I know it’s confusing because ‘Ben’ is also a popular name in English… I’m sorry for the confusion!

        Much love,
        David
