I fell for another one of dVerse’s Quadrille prompts. Could it be because it’s fun and challenging? Or because their article introductions are so catchy? Or perhaps the poetry that they share in their examples entices me to have to partake?

Whatever the reason is, here is my Quadrille using the word “Friday.” A Quadrille is a poem of exactly 44 words, not including the title.

Radiance

"Good morning"
We say with chin-up cheer
In our voices
Return the smile bright as Suns
Mid-day glow to
Show the World
We're almost done
And just got paid
The World awaits
The Weekend's here
Enjoy our lives
As blissfully
Thank God it’s Friday

Reflecting on Radiance

“Good Morning” encapsulates the uplifting spirit that Friday brings. The poem’s cheerful tone and vivid imagery of smiles “bright as Suns” and a “mid-day glow” effectively convey the joy and anticipation felt at the end of the workweek. It speaks to the universal experience of counting down to the weekend, where the burdens of the week are set aside, and we indulge in moments of happiness and relaxation.

As we embrace the end of another week, let “Good Morning” be a reminder to lift our spirits and welcome the weekend with open arms. Cherish the time to unwind, connect with loved ones, and find bliss in the present. Thank God it’s Friday!
