When I look at you,
I don't only see one book.

I see a stack of anthologies.
My own carefully curated 
collection of words.
A cataclysm of what's good
in the world,
condensed just for me;
to unfold and unpack.
In love with your wordplay
your style turns pages,
locked into your symmetry.
Your soul makes my
favorite plots, while your hair
dangles, unloading the twisted
participles in your prose.

When I look at you,
I feel at peace
